Man to Face Murder Charge Following Fatal Incident at Boon Lay Avenue

58-year-old suspect to be charged after 56-year-old victim found dead in flat

A 58-year-old man is set to be charged with murder on Thursday (Mar 13) following the discovery of a 56-year-old man’s lifeless body in a Boon Lay Avenue flat earlier this week.

Authorities were alerted to the case at around 11:35am on Tuesday (Mar 11) at Block 187, where police officers arrived to find the victim unresponsive inside an 11th-floor unit. Paramedics later pronounced him dead at the scene.

CNA understands that the suspect and the deceased are brothers.

The 58-year-old man was arrested at the scene, and investigations remain ongoing. Under Singapore law, a murder conviction carries the death penalty.
