Life recently dealt a devastating blow to a delivery rider when he discovered that his wife of nearly ten years had been unfaithful, and a paternity test revealed that their youngest child, a 10-month-old boy, is not biologically his.
The 27-year-old rider grew suspicious when his 29-year-old wife began staying out increasingly often. Following a relative’s suggestion, he agreed to a paternity test for their youngest child, which confirmed his worst fears when it revealed that the baby’s blood type differed from both his and his wife’s.
The grim reality started to unfold when their domestic helper informed him about a strange man spending time in their home while he was away on work. She even sent him a photo of the man. When he confronted his wife’s mother, she admitted having met this man previously.
Now, his wife is seeking a divorce, citing a breakdown in communication and expressing a desire to retain custody of their children along with the house. Despite the betrayal, the man still wishes to reconcile with his wife.
“She complained to me before that I was always working and didn’t spend time with her, saying it felt like not having a husband at all. But we have three children and a housing loan. I told her I wanted to provide for her and the kids. I thought she would understand. However, things turned out like this,” he shared with Shin Min Daily News.
Despite the shocking revelation about the paternity of their youngest, he has taken on the responsibility of caring for the child. “In the last month, my wife didn’t really take care of him. I would be the one cuddling him, feeding him, and soothing him in the middle of the night. That’s why our bond is particularly strong. If my wife insists on leaving, I’m willing to raise the three children.”
The delivery rider, who earns between $6,000 and $7,000 monthly, contributes around $5,000 for household expenses. He even hired a maid for his wife and bought her a second-hand car to facilitate the children’s schooling.
In spite of the turmoil, he expressed, “I love and trust her a lot. I give her all my money and hardly have any savings.”
