Jade Rasif Praises David Beckham for His Humility and Generosity During Adidas Event

The influencer shares her memorable encounter with the football star.

After meeting David Beckham in person, Jade Rasif describes him as the embodiment of her favorite quote: “Work hard, stay humble.” The former football star visited Singapore on June 17 for an Adidas event at the Orchard Brand Centre, where he participated in the We Got This Talk Show 2.0 alongside panellists like Lions forward Ikhsan Fandi, influencer-entrepreneur Christabel Chua, and DJ-YouTuber Jade Rasif.

In an Instagram post the following day, Ms. Rasif, 28, shared her insights, saying, “While you can read what we shared in the news, here are the things most didn’t see.” She recounted how Beckham noticed the staff clearing the stage and stepped in to help them move furniture. “I noticed he left the lineup, and when I turned around, I realized he was helping the staff,” she wrote.

She continued, “Although he was not scheduled to host a meet-and-greet, he took photos with every person in the room and shook every hand. After the show, he walked outside the store to greet the fans waiting and thank them for their support.” Ms. Rasif also mentioned that after the event, Beckham came out of his holding room to find them, offering warm hugs, smiles, and a brief chat before rushing off to his next appointment.

Jade Rasif is known for her candidness on social media. Last month, she responded to backlash following a Straits Times article that criticized her, titled “DJ Jade Rasif Unfazed by Critics Who Call Her ‘a Terrible Mother’.” The piece garnered nearly 200 comments and over 550 reactions, many of which were critical.

In her Instagram Stories, Ms. Rasif acknowledged the journalist’s efforts and the reactions from netizens, stating, “I really did not know this article was coming out today. I have never asked anyone to write an article about me, so directing hate at me for being in the news is just unnecessary.”
