Police arrest 43-year-old man for abandoning his injured passenger following a crash on Keppel Road.
SINGAPORE: The driver of a McLaren MP4-12C supercar has been arrested after fleeing the scene of a serious accident on Keppel Road on Sunday (May 21), leaving an injured female passenger behind.
According to reports from the SG Road Vigilante Facebook group, the female passenger is the driver’s girlfriend. The accident occurred around 10 pm, with photos circulating online showing the heavily damaged sports car. The McLaren was found under a viaduct with significant damage, including the hood completely detached, shattered front glass, and extensive structural damage.
The 28-year-old female passenger was conscious when transported to the hospital and is currently assisting the police with their investigation.
The driver, a 43-year-old man, was arrested for failing to remain at the scene of the accident and failing to provide assistance. The exact circumstances of the crash and how the vehicle ended up under the viaduct are still under investigation by the authorities.
