Workers’ Party leader calls for assistance in locating Syed Azmie Mohd Suhaimi, last seen on March 3.
SINGAPORE: On Monday morning (March 6), Workers’ Party head and Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh made an urgent appeal for the public’s help in locating a missing 13-year-old boy, Syed Azmie Mohd Suhaimi, who has been unaccounted for since the early hours of Friday, March 3.
The teenager was last seen at approximately 6 am near Block 626 Bedok Reservoir Road. Mr. Singh, in his appeal to the community, posted a message encouraging residents of Eunos and surrounding areas to provide any information about the boy’s whereabouts.
“Dear Eunos residents – The police are seeking information on the whereabouts of a teenage boy,” Mr. Singh wrote, sharing the details of Syed Azmie’s last known location. He urged anyone with information to contact the police hotline at 1800-223-0000 or submit tips online via police.gov.sg/i-witness.
Aljunied GRC, which covers the Eunos area and includes Bedok Reservoir-Punggol, Kaki Bukit, Serangoon, and Paya Lebar, is represented by the Workers’ Party, with Mr. Gerald Giam representing the Bedok Reservoir-Punggol ward. Mr. Singh also shared a link to a report from The Straits Times, which was last updated on Sunday afternoon (March 5), mentioning that all information provided would be treated confidentially.
The report also noted that another missing teen, 15-year-old Jabez Sim Jun Hong, was last seen on February 24 in the vicinity of Block 980C Buangkok Crescent. The Workers’ Party has since shared Mr. Singh’s appeal on its official Facebook page.
