“Single’s Inferno” Returns for Season 2

A new batch of contestants is set to ignite romance on a deserted island.

Netflix’s inaugural South Korean reality show, “Single’s Inferno,” is gearing up for its highly anticipated second season, featuring stunning contestants stranded on a remote island. This isolated setting serves as a “single inferno,” where participants must navigate the challenges of limited resources while seeking love.

The creators, Kim Jae-Won and Kim Na-Hyundai, have been eagerly awaiting Netflix’s approval, and now the search for fresh contestants is officially underway. The premise involves a group of singles who must survive on the island while trying to forge romantic connections, heightening the show’s appeal with its mix of survival and dating dynamics.

Contestants will be housed in cozy quarters along a beautiful beach, complete with a kitchen and small rest areas. However, they will face significant limitations, as there are no refrigerators, and meals must be prepared using only the ingredients provided, cooked in a wood-burning cauldron.

Participants are challenged to endure their stay on the island for nine days, all while building relationships in hopes of escaping. The only way to leave is to vote for their preferred partner, and if there’s a match, the couple is whisked away to a luxurious resort dubbed “Paradise.” Those who fail to find a partner remain trapped in the “hell” of Single’s Inferno.

The show’s first season debuted in January 2022 and achieved remarkable success, ranking in the Global Netflix Top 10 under the Non-English TV category for three consecutive weeks. “Single’s Inferno” is directed by Ji Hyun-Sook and Lee Jeong-Hwa.
